Partnering & Alliancing
With a driving ambition to continuously deliver a better way of doing business, SQS has been ‘reinventing reinstatement’ since it began its operations over 20 years ago. The business model, the products, the processes and technologies have all continued to evolve to keep SQS at the leading edge of the industry.
The central focus on exceptional quality and customer service has not changed, but through our commitment to innovation and a sustainable business model we strive each day to deliver an even better service to clients and customers.
Collaboration and working in partnerships with others is at the heart of our way of working. With decades of experience of working in both structured and informal alliances within the utility sector we have the capability to maximise client value through partnering and alliance delivery models.
We are working towards the new ISO 44001 standard for collaborative business relationships.
Innovation
We also adopt a partnering approach to research and development, working collaboratively with industry bodies, university graduates, product manufacturers and clients.
We focus on bringing high quality, environmentally friendly products to the market place which will benefit our industry and the communities we work in.
Our partnering approach to research and development has been recognised with many achievements, including:
- An NJUG award for High Quality, for our reinstatement depth gauge working with Oxford Plastics Ltd.
- A Street Works UK Awards for Sustainability, working with UK Power Networks and MacRebur, trialling asphalt with a percentage of the bitumen replaced with waste plastic.
- A Street Works UK award for Street Works excellence, working with Ontrack and Thames Water in the creation of the UK’s first Reinstatement Quality Certificate.
- TFL funding for a project working with Thames Water to create a water displacing backfill (see video below).
