‘Black Top’ Operatives

Skilled workers who lay asphalt (tarmac) in foot ways, roads and driveways. One of the core reinstatement skills, our black top operatives deliver high quality works consistently whilst ensuring health and Safety is at the forefront throughout.

‘White Top’ Operatives

Laying paving slabs, kerbs, blocks and other white works materials is a major part of SQS works. Our experienced white top operatives produce outstanding results which regularly get recognised by local authorities as ‘best in class’.

Grab Drivers

SQS move huge quantities of spoil to our recycling centres and our Grab drivers are key to that operation. They also deliver and install backfill materials, ensuring that compaction specifications are achieved for all excavations. Our distinctive grab lorry’s are a regular sight throughout the area we serve.

Excavation Teams

SQS have expanded their work operations to embrace the complete utility solutions process including planning, excavation, installation, backfill and reinstatement. Using both mechanical and hand-dig techniques our experienced excavation teams comply with the highest safety, street works and customer care standards. Work includes both new lay and repair work for major gas, electric and water utility clients.

Barrier Teams

Our barrier teams clear the signs, lighting and guarding from each of the sites once the works has been completed. To comply with our high standards of customer service, the surrounding area is then thoroughly washed to ensure excessive marks are removed. We go the extra mile to ensure that our sites are left cleaner, tidier and better.
