As operators of a large vehicle fleet, safe urban driving is an important aspect of our business. Our driver training includes our grab lorry drivers taking to the roads on push bikes, under the watchful eye of their instructor, to gain a greater appreciation from the cyclist perspective.

Recently a cyclist stopped to talk to a group of our operatives out on their bikes as part of the safe urban driver training. He was really impressed, took a quick photo and tweeted his praise.

“Bumped into the SQS drivers undergoing cycle training in Mill Hill. What a brilliant idea. Been running since 2012 through TFL. This is the kind of thing we need more of!”

Turns out he is not only an avid cyclist but also chairman of his local cycling club. Needless to say the Twitter post has been welcomed with some real positivity by the public!
