SQS are delighted to announce that the Reinstatement Quality Certificate (RQC) service, developed in conjunction with Ontrack Management Solutions Ltd & Thames Water has won the Street Works Excellence award at the Street Works UK Awards 2021.

Street Works UK is the foremost Trade Association within the United Kingdom, representing Utilities and their contractors on street works issues. They promote best practice, self-regulation and a two-way relationship with Government and other relevant stakeholders.

The Street Works UK Awards are the premier celebration in the street works event calendar, honouring operatives, innovation and sustained high standards across the industry.
A desire to help the Street Works industry improve its performance and reputation was at the heart of SQS, Thames Water & Ontrack developing the Reinstatement Quality Certificate service
SQS engaged Ontrack to assist with a requirement by Thames Water for what was called a Reinstatement Quality Certificate on a recently won framework contract.

The certificate when produced was mandated to include a set criterion of images and data captured on each job completed.

Ontrack collaborated with SQS & Thames Water to create an innovative solution to this contract requirement via the wider Ontrack works management system.

Ontrack had originally been developed as a mission-critical business tool that not only captures high-resolution imagery and critical works data but also coaches operatives in best practice via configured prompts and questions.

The system itself promotes safety, efficiency and achievement of high-quality work within an exacting compliance environment, delivering high levels of customer satisfaction and significant cost savings.

It is this core functionality that enabled the Ontrack team to create the integral Reinstatement Quality Certificate.
SQS & Thames Water’s use of the Ontrack RQC creates greater value for all stakeholders, by reducing the cost and inconvenience of unnecessary site visits whilst positively impacting customer
satisfaction, operational efficiency and environmental objectives.
