Start-to-finish delivery

The project was part of a UKPN Sub Station decommissioning in the West Hampstead area, and involved the installation by SQS of ducting and associated cable installation along both Fairhazel Gardens and Greencroft Gardens. SQS were also responsible for the full excavation, reinstatement and site clear activities ensuring a safe, right-first-time delivery.

The road to success

Fairhazel and Greencroft Gardens are delightful residential tree-lined streets. To meet local expectations around access it was essential that a well thought through traffic management plan was implemented. In collaboration with the local authority parking bay suspensions and road closures were minimised, with SQS providing a safe environment for all workers, pedestrians and road users.

A focus on quality

The works were completed on schedule and the road surface fully reinstated to Highways specification, achieving a defects pass rate of over 99%. Our proactive approach to planning and defect management makes extensive use of the in-house developed Ontrack works management system to identify, record and control issues.
