Here’s what one of our previous successful apprentices had to say.

What did you enjoy most during your time as an apprentice?

To be honest, I really enjoy the flexibility and the different skills you learn from working with different people. Doesn’t matter who you work with you will learn new techniques and job approaches which is a key part in sculpting your skills.

Also, the work itself is very engaging and hands on which for me is perfect as I enjoy an active work life.

What advice would you give to someone considering an apprenticeship at SQS?

Trust the process. Sometimes the end goal can seem far away but keep focused and you will get there. SQS are a company for life, and they value their workers. It is the only company I know in which the owners will remember you by name even with the thousands of employees they have. Some days will be hard, but I can guarantee you will have more good than bad.

If you invest the time into SQS, they will invest in you and the possibilities are endless. You are guaranteed a job for life here with good people and a good career. My main advice would be to get your head down and it will definitely work out for you.

We have an Open Day on September 9th at which you can find out more about the scheme.
